This rose-motif pendant features a distinctive vertical silhouette. It is based on the Uncle Walter rose variety. The design incorporates the image of a clock's pendulum, with the passage of time in mind, and expresses the way rose vines wrap around the pendulum over time. The fan-shaped parts are intentionally kept simple, highlighting the tangled shape of the thorns. The thorns on the reverse side have been reduced in size to reduce discomfort when worn. The vines wrap from the front to the back, creating a sense of depth not only from the front but also from the sides and back. An amethyst is set in the center of the central rose motif, and the purple of the amethyst expresses the mixed emotions of passion and melancholy.
